Pat's transition from California to Texas was smooth. She enjoyed the friendly people and culture of South Texas, but one thing she disliked was the lime build-up. In California, she took pride in having the neighborhood's cleanest and shiniest house and car.

However, maintaining the shine in South Texas proved challenging due to the lime build-up. She tried every product available at the grocery store, but none worked. One day, she jokingly suggested to a long-time friend, who was a chemist, to analyze the water and create a solution for removing the lime build-up. Jokingly, her friend told her to send him some South Texas water, and never one to pass up keeping a joke alive, she did.

Months later, Pat received a package from her friend in California. It contained a clear bottle filled with liquid and a note with instructions to spray the liquid on surfaces with lime scum and then wipe. To her surprise, the solution worked perfectly, leaving the chrome sparkling and shiny.

Realizing that it wouldn't be economical to send the product every time, her friend sent her instructions on how to make small batches at home. Pat began making the solution in small batches to keep the neighborhood happy. As word spread, she received requests from people she didn't know, and a small business was born.

The local grocery store also noticed the product's popularity and offered to stock it on their shelves. Although they suggested moving production out of the United States, Pat declined as she wanted to keep the product made in America.

Years later, Pat and her husband put the recipe card away after running out of energy. However, in 2023, a friend tried the product and encouraged them to spruce it up and sell it again.
